It's a comedy about death, and they are producing three short episodes to be released online while they shop it to networks with the goal of creating a full-blown TV show. There will be wine and some snacks, and Ella and Rhett will read a little preview from the first episode. Can you join us? The production will be helmed by Andrei Bowden-Schwartz as the director/cinematographer -- He just wrapped production on Big Beach's latest feature (the makers of Little Miss Sunshine among many others). Yes, for you Vineyarders, the name “The Ashes” was inspired by our dear friends during Rhett’s visit to the Vineyard. The show revolves around a wacky brother and sister (played by Ella and Rhett), who start a pet funeral business. Their larger goal is to create a funny, subversive series that gets people thinking (and laughing) about death. Think Adam's Family meets Weeds with a dash of Six Feet Under, in tone. They're looking for contributions in the range of $50 - $500. If you feel inclined, please make checks out to Fractured Atlas and send to Ella Dershowitz at a NY 10003. Their goal is to raise 40K. Contributions are tax deductible.
