The past 15 years hasn't posed many repair issues, we would typically would have to send our converter box for repair, since off the shelf boxes dont exist. We carry a spare MFD EFIS tube on board the plane now, box replacement is easy, I would imagine we would get good support from Rockwell Collins, but off the shelf replacement boxes would delay repairs, since special software was written for a 3 engine aircraft application. However display tubes may be generic, however I'm not sure where the software installation comes into play. I'll ask Neil at Banyan his opinion on this issue.
