From: To: Subject: RE: epstein Date: Fri, 05 Sep 2008 18:39:23 +0000 Importance: Normal Hi — Sorry I didn’t respond sooner. Epstein entered into a state plea agreement and a federal Non- Prosecution Agreement. We have a confidentiality provision in our Non-Prosecution Agreement, so I’m not sure I can send it to you. I can definitely say that Epstein will not talk to anyone. He is still facing a possibility of federal prosecution if he doesn’t abide by the terms of our agreement and he is facing a slew of civil suits, and he would just never turn in one of his friends unless it meant a big benefit for him. HR hs some familiarity with my case an was a great ally during the prosecution, so | would recommend trying them. I worked with at times throughout the investigation and she was amazing, but she is in the Civil Rights section now. If you think there is a way to bring a civil rights claim, (if you can find a co-conspirator you can probably do it), then definitely shoot her an e- mail. Any chance that either Copperfield or the victim flew to the Bahamas via South Florida (Miami, Ft Lauderdale or West Palm)? Then I could pitch in. If you have more facts or more victims and want me to think creatively about charging decisions, let me know. And do you think he would ever talk about copperfield? (2) Do you have the name of someone good and helpful in DOJ who really knows the sexual and/or violent crimes stuff? Thanks We’re still working on Copperfield —lots of acts but concerns about applicable law! EFTA00211910
