Hi all, | was advised that before we approve, we will need names of all parties involved...witness, victim, potential co- conspirators involved in order to be prepared to answer questions from EM. Sorry for the delay, || SS i i Criminal Investigative Division / Violent Crime Section Crimes Against Children and Human Trafficking Unit (CACHTU) SEE (es) ES (ce!) Sent: Friday, March 06, 2020 1:58 PM Subject: March Travel to London --- UNCLASSIFIED Hey This e-mail is to request approval for the planned foreign travel of Myself and SA ES BE. Myself and SA HEE wil! be traveling to London, England, to interview a critical witness in connection with an investigation into possible violations of 18 U.S.C. §§ 2422 and 2423, among other offenses. We plan to travel between March 17 and March 20, 2020, including expected meetings on March 19, 2020. In connection with the investigation of criminal conduct undertaken by Jeffrey Epstein and certain of his associates, we are investigating whether certain individuals undertook actions within the United States that involved the enticement and/or transportation of minors for the purpose of engaging in illicit sexual activity. The witness we intend to interview is a citizen and resident of the United Kingdom and is a potentially crucial witness in our investigation, including being extremely relevant for our imminent determination of whether to charge our main target suspect. Specifically, the witness was the former personal assistant of the target subject and is believed to be an eyewitness of certain sex abuse perpetrated against the sole statutory victim in our investigation. The witness therefore may be able to significantly corroborate the victim as well as to provide additional relevant information, including information required to meet certain elements of the crimes being investigated. Given the critical importance of the witness, and the need to fully debrief the witness over a one-day interview, and potentially a subsequent follow-up interview the following day, it is necessary for both myself and SA to travel to the United Kingdom to participate in the interview as soon as possible. The victim is represented by attorneys located in the United Kingdom, who have identified March 19, 2020, as being the date available to meet with their client in the near future. We expect to be joined by AUSA x E for this interview pending their approval. EFTA00174970
