In re Jeffrey Epstein, 2018R01618 (AUSA i): Along with the FBI, we are investigating allegations that, over the course of a decade or more, Jeffrey Epstein sexually abused dozens of minors, including minors who were transported to/from New York for the purpose of being sexually abused. In 2008, Epstein resolved a then-pending federal investigation being run by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida with a Non-Prosecution Agreement (the “Florida NPA”). The Florida NPA, which is by its terms binding only that office, purported to immunize not only Epstein, but a number of his alleged co-conspirators, including a “booker” based in New York and responsible for scheduling Epstein’s “massages” with under-aged girls. With the assistance of the FBI, we have obtained and are reviewing various documents from the original investigation, and are beginning to identify victims based in New York. We also plan to begin looking into complaints and allegations of potential misconduct that post-date the Florida NPA. We recently met with David Boies and Pete Skinner, counsel for certain victims, and will soon be meeting with counsel for additional meetings. We will also travel to Florida to speak with the original FBI agents and begin the process of gathering their files. We have informed the Southern District of Florida of the existence of our investigation; they appreciated the heads up and indicated that they must be recused from it. I | ere 5 EFTA00098108
