Because Mr. Pate claims to have worked on the USVI attorney general's complaint for the last 4 months, presumably he has some knowledge of the underlying facts. We will make contact and inquire. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/01/15/nyregion/jeffrey-epstein-virgin-islands.html (I'd been pushing this case for the past four months and working on the Complaint as private counsel.) The Virgin Islands Attorney General is very concerned about assisting/helping the victims. She has taken a bold step; way ahead of the Attorney Generals of Florida, New Mexico and New York. (Even more so in that she is an appointed — not elected — AG. And the politics of bringing this lawsuit was tenuous.) | hope all of your will applaud and praise her courage in the media. Now legally our claims are for the Territory, but in settlement the USVI can be a very big help. The VI will stand up for full, fair and open settlements for the victims. There is more than enough assets for all claimants. I cannot imagine any Virgin Islands jury leaving a penny to the Estate. It would be wonderful if we can coordinate joint-strategies / joint-mediations, etc., to help move all Epstein Estate claims to fast resolution. Also, if any of your clients/victims were trafficked to the Virgin Islands, the VI Dept. of Justice investigators would really like to talk to them by phone — if that can be coordinated with your offices. Let’s all hopefully work together as a Super/Uber team. Perhaps we can coordinate mediations in the USVI. I used Ken Feinberg on a 9 figure settlement in the VI a few years ago, so he has been down here recently. Further, I’m more than happy to host anyone who wants to make a trip to the USVI beforehand sheerly for recreational purposes. (And I have an extra cabin on a sailing Catamaran charter through the BVI to Anegada Feb 10-15, if anyone and a significant other wants to join. I’m serious on this offer, charter is already paid for). Sincerely, Russell J. Russell B. Pate, Esq. The Pate Law Firm www.SunLawVLcom EFTA00040580
